Laurentian Smart Centre
Located on the corner of Chandler Drive and Ottawa Street South, is the Laurentian Smart Centre. This shopping plaza is home to a Lowe’s, Zehrs and Staples. Having these 3 stores so close to home means any chore, renovation or shopping list can be accomplished within a 5-minute drive from home!
Alpine Centre
Across from the Smart Centre is the Alpine Centre. Here we have recreational activities for different tastes. Boston Pizza offers a comfortable family-friendly atmosphere with fast and leisurely dining to make those Friday nights fun for everyone with no clean up required. Cora’s Breakfast diner is an excellent location if you are looking for an early morning meet up with neighbours.

Plato’s Closet is known among Waterloo’s thrifting community as it specializes in streetwear fashion; The target audience is young adults and students looking to keep up with today’s latest fashion trends while seeking to reduce their spending and environmental impact. The Perfect Find is another thrifting paradise; this is a great thrift shop that donates some of its proceeds to missionary trips; Great finds at great prices for a great cause!
South of Alpine is the Kitchener Public Library Country Hills Branch that offers books, computer access and youth programs that Alpine residents can use. What’s great about this location is it’s one of the newer KPL branches, so services here are up to date with the latest features.

Fireside Deli, Boston Pizza and Montana’s BBQ are easygoing food options when you’re looking to eat out! Located in the Laurentian Smart Centre Plaza, these chains offer comfort food with a family-friendly atmosphere.
If you’re looking for a night out and some drinks, Alpine plaza is home to Chicago Pub & Billiards. This venue holds live events, offers excellent bar food and drinks with a friendly sports bar atmosphere complete with darts and billiard tables. This will soon be your new watering hole in no time!
Debrodniks Donuts is a Kitchener staple; reasonably new in town, Debrodniks has quickly become famous for its creative and delicious homemade donuts. The Athlete Factory @ Lot42 is Kitchener’s premier multi-sport indoor training facility offering 8,000 sq.ft of indoor turf ideal for soccer and football training. The location also features Gym41, a private and fully equipped gym along with a parent’s lounge for those who wish to relax as their star athletes train.
Activa Sportsplex is a multi-purpose athletic facility South of Alpine that is home to the Waterloo Regional Boxing Academy and the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association. This facility includes two indoor ice rinks KMHA Alumni Arena & Patrick J. Doherty Arenas; the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation Walking Track walkers, joggers and runners a safe place to lace up and get some exercise all year-round; and the Regional Boxing Academy, a non-profit organization sanctioned through Boxing Ontario and the Canadian Amateur Boxing Association.
