Cedar Hill is located near downtown Kitchener and is one of oldest neighbourhoods within the city. It dates back to the early nineteenth century when it was called Sand Hills. Although Cedar Hill is a smaller neighbourhood, it is very much part of downtown’s core and is one of the most densely populated areas within Kitchener-Waterloo.
Cedar Hill has a variety of housing options available including apartments, condos, townhouses, and detached homes. The neighbourhood is rich with history, diversity, and charm, and is great for those looking for an older neighbourhood with several amenities nearby. Cedar Hill also shares a Neighbourhood Association with two of the larger neighbourhoods within the downtown area- the Mill-Courtland Neighbourhood Association and the Highland-Stirling Community Group. The Neighbourhood Association is comprised of dedicated volunteers who work to provide resources, programs, opportunities, and events for people within the community. With such an active, healthy, and vibrant neighbourhood, residents always have something fun and exciting to do.
