Clair Hills is located on the west side of Waterloo with easy access to Kitchener via Erbsville Road (which becomes Ira Needles Boulevard.)

Clair Hills is home to an active community association that puts on annual family-friendly events like a community yard sale, Fall Fun Fest, and the Winter Classic. They also started a Community Garden in 2019 for those with a green thumb.

The neighbourhood is quickly gaining popularity with seniors because of the Clair Hills Retirement Community, a Chartwell residence. They offer different housing options from assisted living to senior apartments and have many amenities on-site, including a theatre, pool, greenhouse, library, salon, and wellness centre. The property is situated at the corner of Erbsville Road and Columbia Street, with a beautiful view overlooking the neighbourhood.

Residents also have the option to drive, bus, bike, or walk down Erbsville Road for a day of shopping or a night at the movies at The Boardwalk. There are also several health professionals and restaurants in the complex, too.

Depending on which school board your children enroll in, there are a few options for both Catholic and Public Schools. Typically from JK-Grade 8, students will attend either St. Nicholas Catholic School (Catholic) just north of Clair Hills in Laurelwood, or Edna Staebler Elementary School (Public).

Holy Rosary Catholic School is another Catholic option, however, if you prefer French Immersion you will be looking at enrolling your children Edna Staebler Elementary School.

High School students have bus transportation to either Sir John A. Macdonald or Resurrection Catholic Secondary School just 10-15 minutes away. Again, this is based on which school board your children are enrolled in.
