Within Dearborn is the Waterloo Wholesale Club and National Sports Outlet, this makes all of your shopping trips close to home! Dearborn residents are located within three different public school districts belonging to Winston Churchill Public School, Macgregor Public School and Lincoln Heights Public School. Dearborn is directly beside St.Davids Secondary School; these are within a short travel distance from Dearborn making transportation a breeze! For elementary students that participate in bilingual education, École élémentaire L’Harmonie is located at 158 Bridgeport RD. E, Waterloo.

A Pluto Daycare location is located at 435 King St N, Waterloo. The location allows children between the ages of 1 – 6 to attend. Pluto offers a safe and stimulating environment for children within their care.

Dearborn is directly South of the GRT and LRT Conestoga Mall transit terminal. Here residents can access bus routes that connect to Waterloo’s Boardwalk station, Kitchener’s Downtown Core, Waterloo’s Uptown Core and LRT’s direct line to Fairview mall. Below is a list of GRT routes that run through Dearborn:

Parks & Recreation

Dearborn is fortunate to have three parks within its boundaries. The Hillside trail running its perimeter and the Hillside nature reserve running along its south side are great areas for residents looking to lose themselves in forest trails, right in their backyard. Blue Springs Park offers a lovely view of the Blue Springs Pond and access to the Hillside trail. If you follow the trail south, you will arrive in Forwell park which has a playground structure, bicycle trails and an elevated view of the Dearborn neighbourhood skyline, this park is perfect for a day in the sun. Finally, Hillside Park has two baseball diamonds and a local playground. This park is perfect for those looking to use the site’s amenities and play a game of baseball.
