This school also houses St Jude’s School, which is the only full-time day school within 100km that is specifically for children with learning disabilities.

Location

Huron Park sits on the edge of town at the South-West end of Kitchener. This residential area is expanding quickly, building on some of the older Kitchener neighbourhoods like Pioneer Park and Country Hills. Cambridge and Conestoga College are only a 10 – 15 minute drive away.

Schooling / Child Care

Growing families have many options to choose from when it comes to childcare and preschool in Huron Park. From both home daycare and public childcare services, you will be able to rest easy knowing you can go to work while your young ones are cared for by a reliable professional.

Public school students will attend either Williamsburg Public School (JK-Grade 8) or Jean Steckle Public School (JK-Grade 6) and completing Grade 7 & 8 at Williamsburg. Both schools offer French immersion enrollment. These students will complete high school together at the newest school to Kitchener, Huron Heights Secondary School, opened in 2005.

Catholic students will attend St Kateri Tekawitha Catholic Elementary School, and should they continue within the Waterloo Catholic District School Board, they will be bussed to a neighbouring Catholic high school.

Also within the area is the Trillium Bilingual Montessori and Schollar’s Hall Inc, which is a private school that houses JK-Grade 12. Schollar’s Hill is a unique private school where they also house St Jude’s School.

This school is specifically designed for students with learning disabilities, which contain small classes that help identify the right way to teach your child.
