Maple Hills Waterloo

Located just east of Waterloo’s Uptown core lies the neighbourhood of Maple Hills. This neighbourhood will make you feel like you have left the city behind, and have entered a green paradise.

Maple Hills is a quiet neighbourhood in Waterloo with older homes, set back from the road, amidst tall trees. Many of the homes in Maple Hills hide behind thick trees and are nearly hidden away from the road.

The homes found here were built in the 1980s or before, but residents appreciate the older architecture. Maple Hills is filled with people that are retiring or close to, but you’ll find younger families here as well, making a peaceful place to raise your young ones.

There are two community pools in Maple Hills, as well as tennis courts, parks and walking trails. The Winter is great for those who enjoy activities such as cross-country skiing, skating, and sledding.


Maple Hills is located between Fischer Hallman and Westmount; this neighbourhood is one of the most sought after locations because of its convenient placement. There are no buses in Maple Hills, adding to the feeling of being in the deep woods, but that doesn’t mean residents aren’t close to some of GRT’s major bus lines. Route 5 takes residents Uptown Waterloo and towards the Bridgeport area. The 201 runs along Fischer Hallman giving Maple Hill residents access to Conestoga Mall and the Forest Glen Plaza. For university students, the route 202 runs down Erb St.W travelling in front of The University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University. 


Parks & Recreation

Thorndale Park is the biggest park in Maple Hills; it has a play structure, an open sports field, and a sitting area. Belgreen Park is a beautiful park located within the forests running along the university side of Maple Hills. The park has trails that take visitors through the green space.
