Woolwich Township is very large, encompassing the entire area to the North-East of Kitchener-Waterloo. The GRT is Waterloo Region’s public transport operator. It operates daily bus services for the region.

Woolwich focuses this system primarily on Route 21, making the downtown highlights of both St Jacobs and Elmira easily accessible for everyone. The GRT website has information on schedules, fares and other important details for riders.

Outside of the GRT, there are many cycling and walking trails, especially surrounding the Grand River, making it an efficient way to travel around the township as well.
