The Township of Woolwich is located north-east of the City of Waterloo.
The three largest settlements are Elmira, St. Jacobs, and Breslau.
Residents can enjoy the convenience of fresh farm food all year round from the St. Jacobs farmers market, or easily catch a flight to a new destination at the Region of Waterloo International Airport.
With Woolwich’s substantial population of Old Order Mennonite families, it is also not unusual to see horse-drawn buggies.
Schools in Woolwich are part of the Waterloo Region District School Board and Waterloo Catholic District School Board, with the Elmira District Secondary School ranked by Fraser Institute as a top Ontario high school.
A short drive to the tri-cities (Cambridge, Kitchener, and Waterloo), Woolwich Township has become a favorite place to lay down roots for young families as it provides the safety of a small town with the convenience of urban amenities.
Homes in Woolwich Township vary from heritage properties, larger lots for estates and newer sub-divisions.
